I just brought three banana plants, should I put them in the ground opposed to large planters? I never thought about growing for fruit but decoration. I don't mind it either way.

Don't forget that you can eat the inside of a banana tree after you cut it down.

why not giveaway the sucker to anyone?
and the old mother plant, the stalk is better to be buried in the soil because as it rot away, it will absorb lots of water, acts as water reservoir for the young suckers..
