Some of the most important health benefits of this natural cure include:

Prevention and treatment of colds and infections
Protection from free radicals which are the cause of the most dangerous diseases, and numerous conditions related to heart diseases and the circulatory system
Prevention and treatment of clogged arteries
Fatigue prevention
Regulation of accelerated fat levels in the blood
Ingredients:
1 small ginger root (3-4cm/ 1-1.5 inches)
4 large and whole heads of garlic
4 unpeeled organic lemons
2 liters / 67 oz of clean water
Method of preparation:
First, wash the lemons well and cut them into pieces. Then, peel the garlic, and add it in a blender together with the lemon and the ginger. Blend them until you get a homogeneous mixture.
Then, pour the mixture into a metal pot and add 2 liters of water. Heat the mixture until it starts to boil and then remove it from heat and leave it to cool.
Afterwards, strain it through a medium strainer and pour it into glass bottles.
Use:
Consume a glass of this natural cure on a daily basis, first thing in the morning, at least, 2 hours before the meal. Make sure you shake the bottle before use.
Moreover, you should not worry about the smell of garlic, as the lemon neutralizes it completely.

A whole egg contains all the nutrients required to turn a single cell into a baby chicken. Eggs also contain decent amounts of Vitamin D, Vitamin E, Vitamin K, Vitamin B6, Calcium and Zinc. Really… eggs are pretty much the perfect food, they contain a little bit of almost every nutrient we need. (Exceptions… people with genetic disorders like familial hypercholesterolemia or a gene type called ApoE4 may want to minimize or avoid eggs.). HDL stands for High Density Lipoprotein. It is often known as the “good” cholesterol (9). People who have higher levels of HDL usually have a lower risk of heart disease, stroke and various health problems (10, 11, 12, 13). Choline is used to build cell membranes and has a role in producing signalling molecules in the brain, along with various other functions 6. Used by the Amish and Native Americans for cancer, osage orange is an overlooked natural medicine. It inhibits growth of many different tumor cell lines. Typical dose is 2 tablespoons twice daily. It will induce some diarrhea shortly after initiating treatment, but this resolves with continued use. Maclura pomifera contains an mTor inhibitor which slows tumor growth.

No, they are non-toxic. I ate them twice a day for a month. I did get one episode diarrhea on day 3, which is expected, and resolved quickly. I just posted a bunch of scientific studies above.

I've processed them for the seeds as I've read that was the only edible part. Can I ask where you found sources that claim the flesh is both tolerable to eat and has medicinal properties ?

No problem! I posted links to scientific studies, which you can also find using Google, Pub Med, or NCBI. The fruit is tolerable, if you don't mind some initial diarrhea. I put some in the freezer, took it out and grated it with cheese grater. Then I ate two tablespoons twice a day for a month. On day 3 I developed one episode of diarrhea, which is expected. That resolved quickly. My back pain was gone by day 3 or 4.
I continue to use this once a day.

A mango tree needs a large container, but avoid going too big too fast. When you get a new mango tree, pot it in a container 3 inches larger than the nursery pot. As it grows, increase the pot size. Mango trees need repotting every few years. You can tell it's time to repot when:
o water collects on the surface of the potting soil instead of soaking in
o roots become visible on the surface of the potting soil
o the potting soil starts to pull away from the edge of the container or cracks.
As a general guide, a 5-foot-tall mango tree will need a 15-gallon container.

Mango Grafting
Grafting:
Grafting is the most reliable and economical means of propagating the mango. It consists of transferring a piece of a mature, bearing tree (scion) to a separate seedling tree (rootstock), forming a permanent union. The scion forms the canopy of the tree, while the rootstock forms the lower trunk and roots Healthy, vigorous and uniform seedlings from polyembryonic seed should be used as rootstocks. Monoembryonic seeds are not recommended for use because their sexual embryos produce non-uniform seedlings. The seed should be removed from the leathery husk and planted at a depth of 12.5 mm (½ in) in nursery trays for later transplanting, or directly in a 3.8l (1 gal) growing container. A standard nursery soil mix can be used provided that it has good drainage. The rootstock should be fertilized, watered and grown to the diameter of a pencil prior to grafting.
Scions can be collected when the trees are in active growth. Scions are obtained by removing the terminal 5 to 7.6 cm (2 to 3 in) of a twig whose terminal bud is beginning to enlarge. Tender terminal shoots can be used for specialized grafting and budding techniques. Scions are removed from the tree and for veneer grafts, all of the leaves are removed. For cleft grafts and other specialized techniques, a few of the leaves may be left on the scion. The scions can be placed in a plastic bag and stored at a temperature of 10°C (50°F) for up to 10 to 14 days. Scions can be stored in a home refrigerator, but they must not be allowed to freeze.
Grafting techniques:
Grafting should be done in the warmest months of the year with night temperatures above 18°C (64°F). Many grafting methods are successful with mango, including cleft grafting, chip budding, and whip grafting; however, one of the most versatile and reliable is the veneer graft. Grafting height on the rootstock will not influence success or failure. The terminal bud of the rootstock is removed and on both the scion and the rootstock a veneer cut is made. The veneer cut is shallow and exposes the cambium, the active growth region of both the scion and the rootstock. A short flap of bark is left on the bottom of the veneer cut on the rootstock to secure the scion in place.
The two cut surfaces are brought together and then wrapped with plastic grafting tape. Generally, the terminal bud is left unwrapped to allow for growth of the bud. Under extremely dry conditions, the terminal bud may be completely covered to reduce water loss, but the plastic must be removed later. The newly grafted tree should be placed in the shade and not exposed to direct sunlight. The graft should begin to grow in 10 to 21 days. The rootstock is cut immediately above the graft following the second vegetative flush of the scion. Following grafting, any shoots from the rootstock must be removed, as these shoots may overcome the developing scion.

Hi Teo,
Personal I used in many dishes... soups, fried or saute vegetable mix. Ok... Here Is one easy recipe.. if you like smoked fish you can opted for this .... 100-200 grams smoked fish, 200-300 grams coconut milk, 1 pieces squash Chayote, 50 grams beans, 1 onion, and 1 root ginger.
Wash beans and boiled very good (to not give bloated you can put 1/3 teaspoon of baking soda in water were you boil beans, and change water after seething). When beans are boiled put inside smoke fish, grated squash Chayote, coconut milk, onion chopped fine, root of ginger cut in 2 pieces after you peeled and salt and pepper after taste. If you like spice foods can put in this soup 1-2 red hot chili pepper or more up to your taste. Another way is to use raw in salads like you use zucchini or cucumbers.

Diabetes Nutrition Guide: Fruits & Vegetables - Healthline
www.healthline.com/health/type-2-diabetes/fruits-vegetables
Feb 2, 2016 - For example, eating several low GI fruits and vegetables combined with a high GI food can help you maintain better blood sugar control. Other examples include adding beans to rice, a nut butter to bread, or tomato sauce to pasta.
Overview · Factors · How it Works · Benefits http://www.healthline.com/health/type-2-diabetes/fruits-vegetables Diabetes Nutrition Guide: Understanding the Glycemic Index
OverviewFactorsHow it WorksBenefitsRisksFruits and VegetablesTakeawayRead This Next
Part 1 of 7
Diabetes Nutrition Guide: What Is the Glycemic Index (GI)?
The glycemic index (GI) is one nutritional tool you can use to help rate the quality of carbohydrates that you eat. The index measures how quickly the carbohydrates in a specific food impact your blood sugar. They are rated low, medium, or high, depending on how quickly they raise your blood sugar level, compared to either glucose or white bread (these foods have a glycemic index rating of 100). By choosing low glycemic index foods, you can minimize dramatic increases in your blood sugar. Additionally, if you eat a high glycemic index food, you can expect that it will increase your blood sugar more significantly. It may also cause a higher post-meal blood sugar reading.
Many factors can change the glycemic index of a food. These factors include its composition and how the food is cooked. The glycemic index of food also changes when it is mixed together.
The glycemic index of food is not based on a normal serving of a particular food. For example, carrots have a high glycemic index, but to get the amount measured for carrot’s glycemic index you would have to eat a pound and a half. A different measure, called glycemic load, is also available. This measure takes into account both the speed of digestion and the amount present in a normal serving of a food. It may be a better way to measure the impact a carbohydrate food has on blood sugar.
Part 2 of 7
What Factors Affect a Food’s Glycemic Index Rating?
To assign a GI number, foods are assigned to one of three categories: low, medium, or high.
low GI foods: have a GI of 55 or less
medium GI foods: between 56 and 69
high GI foods: 70 or higher
For glycemic load, under 10 is considered low, 10 to 20 is considered medium, and over 20 is consider high.
Several factors are taken into account when assigning a food a glycemic rating.
These factors include:
Acidity
Foods that are highly acidic, such as pickles, tend to be lower on the GI than foods that are not. This explains why breads made with lactic acid, such as sourdough bread, are lower on the GI than white bread.
Cooking Time
The longer a food is cooked, the higher it tends to be on the GI. When a food is cooked, the starch or carbohydrates start to break down.
Fiber Content
In general, foods that are high in fiber have lower glycemic ratings. The fibrous coatings around beans and seeds mean the body breaks them down more slowly. Therefore, they tend to be lower on the glycemic scale than foods without this coating.
Process
As a general rule, the more processed a food is, the higher it is on the glycemic scale. For example, fruit juice has a higher GI rating than fresh fruits.
Ripeness
The more ripe a fruit or vegetable, the higher it tends to be on the GI.
While there are certainly exceptions to each rule, these are some general guidelines to follow when evaluating the potential blood sugar impact of a particular food.
Part 3 of 7
How Does Using the Glycemic Index Work?
Eating according to the GI can help you better manage your post-meal blood sugar levels. The GI can also help you determine appropriate combinations of food. For example, eating several low GI fruits and vegetables combined with a high GI food can help you maintain better blood sugar control. Other examples include adding beans to rice, a nut butter to bread, or tomato sauce to pasta.
Part 4 of 7
What Are the Benefits of Using the Glycemic Index?
Choosing foods with low glycemic impact can help to keep your blood sugar levels low. However, you must also carefully adhere to the portion sizes recommended. Glycemic ratings are not only for those with diabetes. Those trying to lose weight or decrease hunger also utilize the GI as a diet because it can control appetite. Because the food takes longer to digest in the body, a person can feel fuller, longer.
Part 5 of 7
What Are the Risks of Eating on the Glycemic Index?
The glycemic index helps you pick higher quality carbohydrates. However, it is the total carbohydrate loads in your diet that ultimately affect blood sugar levels. Choosing low glycemic foods can help, but you must also manage the total carbohydrates that you consume. Also, the GI does not take into account the overall nutritional value of a food. For example, just because microwave popcorn is in the middle of GI foods, doesn’t mean you should live only on microwave popcorn.
When you start on a diet to manage your diabetes, the American Diabetes Association recommends that you meet with a registered dietician who is familiar with diabetes. There are many meal plans available. Make sure to ask how you can use information on the glycemic index to best manage your blood sugar levels.

The Glycemic Index of Common Fruits and Vegetables

Love bush (Cuscuta Spp) is a parasitic vine or plant which wildly spreads on hedges as well as fences and it can become quite a nuisance. Also referred to as dodder, there are up to one hundred and seventy species in the genus in various colors such as red, yellow and orange.
It is native to northern Europe and it is an annual plant from the Cuscutaceae family. Also, it is multiplied only by seeds. It can be found in the Caribbean in abundance.
Although it has medicinal purposes, it can pose a big danger to other plants which is expected of parasitic plants. It will pull every nutrient from host plants which it has entrapped and can also spread diseases from one plant to the next. Therefore, do not allow it to spread on plants that you derived benefits from because it will surely kill them if it is not controlled.
The common names are Love vine, Dodder, Devil's guts, Devil's ringlet, Devil's hair, Hailweed, Goldthread, Hairweed, Hellbine, Strangleweed, Pull down, Witch's hair, Tu-Si-Zi, Love vine, Cuscuta Spp, Cuscuta and Angel's hair.
Health benefits of love bush
It is used for back pains, alopecia (hair loss), babies' gripes, osteoporosis, infertility and prickly heat rash. To make love bush tea or dodder tea, infuse approximately an inch of the plant in boiling water then cool and consume in small wine glasses. However, the seeds are sold as herbal products in stores.
The seeds are highly prized by the Chinese and are used to maintain the health of the kidneys. One of the medicinal properties of the seeds is antioxidant and it contains an abundance of flavonoids.

Why Eat Beets? 6 Top Reasons
Beet roots have always been included in my most recommended vegetables list, although they are in the "use sparingly" category because of their high carbohydrate levels.
Although beets have the highest sugar content of all vegetables, most people can safely eat beet roots a few times a week (and their greens in unlimited quantities), enjoying not only their sweet, earthy flavor but also their powerhouse nutrients that may improve your health in the following ways.
1. Lower Your Blood Pressure
Drinking beet juice may help to lower blood pressure in a matter of hours. One study found that drinking one glass of beet juice lowered systolic blood pressure by an average of 4-5 points.3
The benefit likely comes from the naturally occurring nitrates in beets, which are converted into nitric oxide in your body. Nitric oxide, in turn, helps to relax and dilate your blood vessels, improving blood flow and lowering blood pressure.
2. Boost Your Stamina
If you need a boost to make it through your next workout, beet juice may again prove valuable. Those who drank beet juice prior to exercise were able to exercise for up to 16 percent longer.4 The benefit is thought to also be related to nitrates turning into nitric oxide, which may reduce the oxygen cost of low-intensity exercise as well as enhance tolerance to high-intensity exercise.
3. Fight Inflammation
Beets are a unique source of betaine, a nutrient that helps protects cells, proteins, and enzymes from environmental stress. It's also known to help fight inflammation, protect internal organs, improve vascular risk factors, enhance performance, and likely help prevent numerous chronic diseases.5 As reported by the World's Healthiest Foods:6
"[Betaine's]… presence in our diet has been associated with lower levels of several inflammatory markers, including C reactive protein, interleukin-6, and tumor necrosis factor alpha. As a group, the anti-inflammatory molecules found in beets may eventually be shown to provide cardiovascular benefits in large-scale human studies, as well as anti-inflammatory benefits for other body systems."
4. Anti-Cancer Properties
The powerful phytonutrients that give beets their deep crimson color may help to ward off cancer. Research has shown that beetroot extract reduced multi-organ tumor formations in various animal models when administered in drinking water, for instance, while beetroot extract is also being studied for use in treating human pancreatic, breast, and prostate cancers.7
5. Rich in Valuable Nutrients and Fiber
Beets are high in immune-boosting vitamin C, fiber, and essential minerals like potassium (essential for healthy nerve and muscle function) and manganese (which is good for your bones, liver, kidneys, and pancreas). Beets also contain the B vitamin folate, which helps reduce the risk of birth defects.
6. Detoxification Support
The betalin pigments in beets support your body's Phase 2 detoxification process, which is when broken down toxins are bound to other molecules so they can be excreted from your body. Traditionally, beets are valued for their support in detoxification and helping to purify your blood and your liver.
Eat Your Beet Greens Too
If you simply throw away the green leafy tops to your beets, you're doing yourself a disservice, as these are among the healthiest part of the plant.
Besides containing important nutrients like protein, phosphorus, zinc, fiber, vitamin B6, magnesium, potassium, copper, and manganese, beet greens also supply significant amounts of vitamin A, vitamin C, calcium, and iron.
Beet greens actually have even more iron than spinach (another leafy green in the same botanical family) as well as a higher nutritional value overall than the beetroot itself. For more details, read "What Are Beet Greens Good For?" You may be surprised to learn, for instance, that research shows beet greens may:
Help ward off osteoporosis by boosting bone strength
Fight Alzheimer's disease
Strengthen your immune system by stimulating the production of antibodies and white blood cells.

Did you know that you can make delicious drinks with pineapple skin that preserve all of its medicinal properties, like fighting parasites, fluid retention, constipation and inflammation?
So don’t throw away this part of the pineapple. We will explain all of its properties and two simple recipes for drinks with pineapple skinstep by step in this article: one boiled with pineapple skin and one fermented drink that is rich in probiotics.
Health Properties
As long as fruit is organic, and if possible, we also recommend eating its peel because it has a lot of health benefits. This is the case of pineapple as well, and the advantage is also that it is a fruit that does not tend to have pesticides because it generally grows without a lot of properties.
Main Properties
Helps fight intestinal parasites
Contributes to good digestion thanks to its bromelain, an enzyme that improves the digestion process. It is an ideal dessert after eating meat or fish. On the other hand, we don’t recommend combining it in the same meal with carbohydrates (flour, pasta, potato, etc.)
Improves intestinal functioning, constipation, and hemorrhoids
Protects microbial flora in the colon
It is a powerful and natural anti-inflammatory, which is great for muscle, throat, etc. inflammation.

Boiled Pineapple Skin Drink
One of the easiest drinks with pineapple skin can be prepared in the following way:
Wash the pineapple well and peel it.
Cut the skin in very small pieces and boil them with approximately a liter of water for a medium or large pineapple.
Boil on low heat covered for 15 to 20 minutes.
Then, let sit for another five minutes.
Sweeten with honey or stevia.
You can drink it hot, fresh made, or even cold.

Raising fish in the desert
With fewer fish in the sea with each passing year, Israel's Grow Fish Anywhere has found a way to grow them in the desert.

Fish ponds
Biological filters and specially developed bacteria treat the water the fish are growing in, without wasting anything.
“There’s plenty of fish in the sea,” the old saying goes – but that’s not as true as it once was. In fact, says Dotan Bar-Noy, CEO of Israel’s GFA (Grow Fish Anywhere) Advanced Systems, there are fewer fish in the sea with each passing year. “Overfishing is a much bigger problem than people realize, and in a few years, many species of salt water fish are simply going to disappear if something isn’t done.”
Bar-Noy and 30 or so others – mostly engineers, marine biologists and other technical folk – have found a solution to the diminishing numbers of fish in the sea. Based on the work of Israeli scientist Dr. Yossi Tal and Hebrew University professor Jaap van Rijn – inventor of the system – GFA has developed an on-land environment where fish can be raised, without having to exchange water or treat it chemically.
“We call this a zero-discharge system,” Bar-Noy tells ISRAEL21c. “We use biological filters and specially developed bacteria to treat the water the fish are growing in, without wasting anything. The system can be set up to raise salt-water fish anywhere in the world – even in the desert, thousands of miles from the ocean,” he asserts.
Fish farms are nothing new. They’ve been around for years, enabling growers to set up controlled environments that can ensure a specific yield of fish, allowing them to guarantee delivery without worrying about dwindling supplies in the ocean, pollution, inclement weather, and other factors that are hard to control.
Fish farm foibles
Still, while they enhance the conservation of fish in the sea, fish farms have problems of their own – mostly due to the need to circulate the water in the pools and tanks where the fish are raised. Most fish farms are located adjacent to a body of water, and their waste-laden water is channeled into the sea, and replaced with “fresh” sea water.
While fish raised in captivity don’t produce an increased amount of waste, at sea it would be dissipated over a much wider area. The fish waste, with its nitrogen and other elements concentrated in a relatively small area, renders the water that it’s dumped into uninhabitable for fish.
As the tanks are generally located near the shore, in relatively shallow water, the wastewater tends to linger there. With the movement of the currents, nearby jurisdictions are liable to find a considerable number of fish floating belly-up in their bays and harbors, having been poisoned by the high concentration of nitrogen and nutrients in the wastewater dumped from the tanks.
Fish ponds
GFA’s New York purification plant opened in 2009 and is already supplying 100 tons of sea fish a year to the US market.
This problem is so serious that in some areas fish farms are banned, despite their being perhaps the only technologically feasible solution available to combat overfishing, says Bar-Noy. Alternative purification systems are based on electrical treatment systems which are expensive to install and run, and are not all that effective, he notes. “Even when they work, the electrical purification systems are too expensive, and fish produced with those systems will cost far more than fish from the sea.”
GFA is currently the only solution that eliminates the environmental problems associated with fish farming. Tanks are filled with water, then with fish – and added to the mix are microbes perfected by GFA to treat the nitrogen and organic waste byproducts of fish production, in the tank.
Water is only added to replace that which evaporates, and the fish can grow through their natural cycle and remain in the tank until they are ready for market. “It’s the most efficient fish growing system possible,” claims Bar-Noy, “There is no pollution, and there is no need to fish at sea. Just set up tanks with GFA technology anywhere in the world, and harvest the fish when you’re ready to go to market.”
Toward eliminating world hunger
Because the GFA system uses cheap and easy-to-produce bacteria to cleanse fish tanks, the costs for raising the fish are fully competitive with those for raising fish from the sea, or other farms, Bar-Noy points out. And tank-raised fish are uniformly tasty. “Fish from the sea are subject to the natural weather cycles of cold and heat, while farmed fish can be raised at a constant, ideal temperature. GFA fish have an even greater advantage, since the water they grow in is always fresh, making the fish taste better than fish from other sources.”
The system has already been set up in several locations in Israel, and the company runs a purification facility in upstate New York, which has been operating since 2009. The facility, the largest using GFA technology, produced about 100 tons of fish last year – mostly salt-water fish like sea bream, bass, tilapia, and others.
GFA is currently working on the third generation of its purification system. While the company was formed in 2008, its technology was developed over a 20-year period. “While the ideas were there for awhile, the only viable purification techniques were based on electrical devices. It was only with the rise of biotechnology techniques that we were able to develop the bacteria that enable us to do the purification cheaply,” Bar-Noy explains.
The resulting system allows for high-capacity fish production – as much as 100 kg of fish per cubic meter of water (220 pounds of fish per 35 cubic feet) – along with the ability to grow fish in any environment. Fish farms can be set up anywhere – including in large cities, where fish may be brought to market the same day they’re harvested, thus enabling growers to eliminate transportation time and costs.
After raising funds from several angels, GFA recently raised NIS 18 million (about $126,000) from Dutch private equity fund Linnaeus Capital Partners. The money will finance a number of projects, including expanding the New York facility and further refining the technology.
“As populations grow, more countries are looking to fish as sources of protein, but overfishing threatens to destroy that dream,” says Bar-Noy. “With our system, fish can be grown anywhere – even in the desert – with minimal environmental impact. This is about more than just growing fish,” he adds. “This could help feed millions.”

Why Do Most Raw Food Restaurants Fail?
I decided to write on this topic because it never ceases to amaze me how quickly new raw food restaurants go out of business. This phenomenon happens in almost every major city in the world, from New York to LA to London.
As soon as you hear about the opening of a brand new raw food restaurant in town, you get excited; sometimes even before you decide to pay the first visit, someone tells you the restaurant has already closed down.
How could this be possible? Where could raw food restaurants go wrong?
The raw food movement is getting attention all over the world day by day, and we still don’t have a wide spread selection of cool raw food restaurants around town, like any other type of food. With the exception of very small raw food restaurants that are located in super secluded areas, the choices for eating out with a raw food menu are very slim.
I draw on my many years of experience living in London and hanging out in the city, from my professional observations of many failed restaurants over the last 10 years, and my experiences as a customer of many dozens of restaurants.
What I have found is that raw food restaurants failure is due to these factors:
Calories
Eating the correct raw food diet means you get most of your calories from eating fresh fruit – which is not something you go to a restaurant for.
The average person that eats out at restaurants expects to stuff themselves with food, calories, and stimulation; and it doesn’t work like that on a healthy raw food diet.
A healthy raw food, such as fresh fruit and vegetables, does not “stimulate” your senses like eating meats, grains, and other foods. Hence people don’t drink alcohol when they eat fruits and vegetables, but do when eating meats, pasta, and so on.
What is wrong with food that stimulates, you may ask? Well… anyone who studies nutrition properly knows that stimulation and nutrition exist in inverse ratio – the more you are stimulated by food, the less nutrition you receive, and vice versa.
Your taste buds change on a raw food diet
Visiting a raw food restaurant for the first time is going to be a boring experience for a person that eats the standard American Diet. Why? Because if you are used to eating highly seasoned and stimulating foods, such as burgers and chips, eating raw food recipes will taste like cold vegetarian food, and naturally, most people won’t like it.
And what would they say then? They would scream out loud, “Raw food tastes horrible.”
Well… In all truth, whoever thinks raw food is boring is somehow ignorant. Why is that you may ask?
What most people don’t know is that your taste buds change dramatically after you eat a raw food diet for a few days.
Taste buds go through a life cycle where they grow from basal cells into taste cells, and then die and are sloughed away. According to internationally known researcher, Dr. Bartoshuk, their normal life cycle is anywhere from 10 days to 2 weeks.
Once your taste buds are no longer exposed to daily stimulating and excitotoxic substances such as salt, sugar, and spices, they again develop an appreciation for the taste of sweet, fresh fruits and vegetables.
In fact, on top of enjoying the flavours of fresh fruits and vegetables, your taste buds will start to dislike, if not downright hate the flavours of junk food and most cooked food in general; which obviously is a great thing because you become healthier.
This is also the main reason why the majority of the public will never get used to eating out at raw restaurants, because it implies a change of lifestyle.
“Low Fat” Raw Cuisine Is The Way Forward.
Many raw food restaurants have tried to overcome the issue of taste as I explained above, by adding lots of fat and condiments to their recipes, and in this way appeal to more people.
The result? Well… Let me tell you:
I decided to pay visit to a well-known raw food restaurant in London’s Mayfair on one occasion, called 42 Raw.
They served a gorgeous looking lasagne and I thought, OK, I’d give it a try. What did I think after eating the lasagne?
The lasagne recipe was so full of oil, seeds, and condiments that it didn’t taste nice at all.
Not only that, but I had to rush to eat something sweet right afterwards, just to get rid of the oily and extremely salty taste of the meal.
Was this a healthy eating experience? Of course not, neither healthy nor fulfilling.
Naturally, I never visited that restaurant again, and they (like most other raw food restaurants I’ve tried) are also out of business.
I believe the way forward is to have raw food restaurants that serve only low fat (oil free) raw food recipes, as well as offering a wide variety of fresh fruit – and I mean plenty of fresh fruit to choose.
In this way, you can start your meal by eating fresh fruit, and then onto a tasty but lighter dinner, which I believe will be a far more satisfying eating experience altogether.
If you’d like to comment on this post, I’d love to hear your opinion.

The Four Principles of Natural Farming According To Masanobu Fukuoka
AUGUST 26, 2014 / VINYASONALEGRE
natural farming
At Vinya Son Alegre in Santanyí (Mallorca), we aim to apply Natural Farming methods as developed and promoted by Masanobu Fukuoka (1913 – 2008). This Japanese farmer and philosopher was celebrated for his method of Natural Farming and re-vegetation of desertified, arid land.
One day, Fukuoka realized that nature was perfect just as it was. Problems in nature only arise when people try to improve upon nature and use nature strictly for human benefit. He became a proponent of no-till, no-herbicide grain cultivation farming methods traditional to many indigenous cultures, from which he created a particular method of farming, commonly referred to as ‘Natural Farming’ or ‘Do-nothing Farming’.
He summarized his experience in the Four Principles of Natural Farming.
• The earth cultivates itself, observed Fukuoka. There is no need for man to do what roots, worms, and microorganisms do better. Furthermore, ploughing the soil alters the natural environment and promotes the growth of weeds. Therefore, his first principle was: No ploughing or turning of the soil.
• Secondly, in an unaltered natural environment the orderly growth and decay of plant and animal life fertilizes the soil without any help from man. Fertility depletion occurs only when the original growth is eliminated in favour of soil-exhausting food crops or grasses to feed cattle. Adding chemical fertilizers helps the growing crop but not the soil, which continues to deteriorate. Therefore Fukuoka’s second principle is: No chemical fertilizers or prepared compost. Instead he promotes cover crops like clover and alfalfa, which are natural fertilizers.

• Weeds are the enemy of the farmer. Fukuoka observed that when he ceased ploughing, his weed population declined sharply. This occurred because ploughing actually stirs deep-lying weed seeds and gives them a chance to sprout. Tillage therefore is not the answer to weeds. Nor are chemical herbicides, which disrupt nature’s balance and leave poisons in the earth and water. There is a simpler way. To begin with, weeds need not be wholly eliminated; they can be successfully suppressed by spreading straw over freshly sown ground and by planting ground cover. No weeding by tillage or herbicides is Fukuoka’s third principle.
• Finally, what to do about pests and blights? As Fukuoka’s grain fields and orchards came more and more to resemble a natural ecology – with the proliferation of plant varieties growing all in a jumble – they also created a nature-like habitat for small animals. In such a habitat, Fukuoka noted that nature’s own balancing act prevented any one species from gaining the upper hand. Left to itself, nature prefers hardier stock. Fukuoka’s fourth principle is: No dependence on chemical pesticides.
